How I work – details

Fine art wedding albums

I can’t emphasise enough just how important they are. Fine Art Albums are a family heirloom.

Each album has a custom layout, designed in house, specifically to showcase your images and tell the story of your day to their absolute best.

All have museum-grade, thick archival paper that will keep it’s true colours for generations – these are a massive step up from wedding books.

Your images will look even more amazing in print than on a computer screen/tablet/smartphone. An album also means you’ll see your wedding photos more often.

Regular contact

This helps to develop a bond and trust before your wedding so that you’re comfortable with me around you on the day. It means you’ll look more relaxed in your photos, your smile will be natural, and I’ll never have to ask you to ‘smile for the camera’! (Something I never do, by the way!)

A blog to celebrate your marriage

After your reveal session I’ll write a blog that celebrates your marriage and tells a little bit about the story of your day. I’ll use some of the favourite images from your wedding too.

It’s just a nice thing to have and share with your family and guests!

Pre-wedding planning meeting

Around two months before your wedding day I’ll have a detailed planning meeting with you where we’ll confirm and run through the finer details of your day.

This meeting is crucial to make sure nothing has changed and to allow us to go into more detail about the following, and more…

  • I’ll analyse your timeline with you to make sure it gives you exactly what you want from your photos e.g. if the venue has given you a timeline with only 10 minutes for your couples photos, this is not enough!

  • I’ll design your wedding group photo order with you (see below)

  • The must-have images

  • Confirmation of the coverage that you’ve booked with me

  • We’ll have had regular contact between booking me and this meeting, but ask me questions about anything new that’s come up.

Doing the above means that you get the perfect timeline for you and you can relax as your wedding approaches knowing that I’ve got everything in hand.

Lastly, don’t forget that I’m happy to work with your wedding planner. These people are pure gold and I’m very happy to work as part of a team.

Group photos

We’ll have touched on this at your wedding consultation meeting, but now’s the time to fine tune it at your pre-wedding planning meeting…

I’ll design the best order for your photos so that the minimum number of guess come into and out of each successive photo. It’ll take less time and run more smoothly by doing this.

I’ll also send you a PDF of the group photo list for you to send to all of your guests that are going to be in them, with details of when they’ll take place. This helps to make sure that they don’t wander off just when you need them (bar, toilet etc!)

The benefit… you’ll have more time to spend with your guests (or maybe more time for your couples photos), and it’ll be fun and stress free!

I’ll have a Plan B

We can’t control the weather so I’ll always have a Plan B just in case it doesn’t play ball on the day. I’ll work this out with your venue in my ‘venue scoping visit’ described above.

I won’t let you down

As your photographer, I will keep all of my promises and meet every single deadline.
