James & Andreia’s Wedding at the Birch Hotel, Haywards Heath

James and Andreia’s Birch Hotel wedding was something special.

They chose the Birch Hotel in Haywards Heath for its Victorian character, the perfect backdrop for a day surrounded by family and close friends, many of whom travelled from abroad to be there.

As a Birch Hotel wedding photographer, I love the grand staircase and ornate details inside, and this couple added a trip to Borde Hill Gardens too.

Victorian Character at the Birch Hotel

The Birch Hotel is full of Victorian charm, from carved woodwork to a sweeping staircase.

That staircase makes a brilliant spot for photos, especially from above.

The Ceremony

From the ceremony onwards, it was a day full of love and smiles, finished off with confetti outside the red brick hotel.

Portraits at Borde Hill Gardens

For their couple photos, we headed to Borde Hill Gardens, just north of Haywards Heath. James and Andreia absolutely love the landscape and the views across the Sussex countryside.

They chose the Italian Garden in particular, with its landscaped pond, sculptures and beautiful backdrops.

Even with a bee getting pretty curious in some of the photos, a great time was had!

Toasts and Speeches

Back at the hotel, a beautiful flower wall set the scene for toasts and speeches.

Cake and a Choreographed First Dance

The cake was decorated with pink roses, and the evening ended with a beautifully choreographed first dance.

From the ceremony to the first dance and beyond, James and Andreia’s wedding was a special day to remember.
