Mike and Carolyn’s wedding day was truly special… Carolyn looked stunning with her hair styled in Hollywood Waves, which perfectly complemented the elegance of her extraordinary wedding dress.
They chose The Connaught Hotel for their wedding because of their love for Mayfair. The grand exterior architecture caught their eye, and they wanted their photos to capture them in front of the impressive entrance. Their Connaught Hotel wedding photographs in London captured their special day against this stunning backdrop.
Across from the hotel is Mount Street Gardens, where the buildings created a grand setting for their group photos. Inside, the ‘Moon Tree’ feature served as a perfect backdrop for their couple’s photos.
The pair were also keen to have the hotel’s famous ‘Connaughty Hound’ dessert, created by renowned pastry chef Nicolas Rouzaud, as part of their wedding breakfast. This chocolate hazelnut treat, shaped like the hotel’s logo, added a sweet touch to their celebration.

Wedding photos at The Connaught capture both the hotel’s charm and the couple’s love story. Each corner offers a new setting for beautiful images.
The hotel’s facade dates back to the early 1800s, giving wedding photos a classic London feel. The columns and stonework create a stately backdrop that looks good in any season.
The Connaught’s inside areas include:
Being in Mayfair allows you to get added variety in your wedding photos at the following locations:
For couples planning their own Connaught wedding, these trusted vendors work well with the venue:
I suggest at least 90 minutes to make the most of the hotel’s best spots and nearby Mayfair locations to capture your confetti photo, group photos and ‘couple’s photos’.
Most areas are available for wedding photography, but check with the hotel staff about any limitations. Of note, for privacy reasons, no photography is allowed in the Red Room or the restaurants that are open to the public.
Photography is permitted in any area included as part of your wedding booking with the hotel e.g. your wedding breakfast room and the ceremony room.
The Connaught has many beautiful indoor areas that work well for photos if the weather turns bad.
Mid-morning and late afternoon offer the best natural light, but the hotel’s lighting makes photos look great all day.
While The Connaught Hotel in Mayfair does allow dogs, at the time of writing, it’s not considered a particularly dog-friendly hotel, and they have specific restrictions. Small dogs (up to 7kg) are permitted with prior consent from the manager, but they cannot be in public areas, including restaurants, bars, and the spa. They also cannot be left alone in the room.
