Rich & Ellie’s Relaxed Countryside Wedding at Kingdom, Kent

Kingdom, tucked away in the countryside near Penshurst in Kent, is exactly that. It has a gorgeous setting, a relaxed atmosphere and some features you won’t find at any other wedding.

As a Kingdom wedding photographer, I had the privilege of photographing Rich and Ellie’s wedding here, and their love of black and white photography inspired some of my favourite images from their day.

A Ceremony Beneath an Ancient Tree

The ceremony area at Kingdom is set around what’s said to be the oldest living tree in England. Totally unique! I haven’t photographed a wedding anywhere else quite like it.

Rich and Ellie said their vows on the boardwalk, surrounded by family and friends.

Then came the confetti!

A Group Photo on the Ark

One of the highlights at Kingdom is the Ark, and it’s guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on you and your guests.

It makes a brilliant, lively setting for that big group photo, capturing all the laughter of the day.

Portraits in the Gardens

For their couple portraits, we explored the gardens, woodland paths and a rope swing.

Rich and Ellie love black and white photography, so I made sure to include plenty of timeless monochrome shots in their collection.

Rustic Details and a Party in the Barn

The details were rustic and relaxed, from wooden crates and lanterns to a dessert table the flower girl couldn’t resist.

Then it was into the barn for the first dance and a party that kept going all night.
