Stuart & Elle’s Summer Wedding at Slaugham Place

Stuart and Elle’s summer wedding was simply beautiful.

Bridal prep took place in the bridal cottage and library in the gorgeous grounds of Slaugham Place. Then it was off to Holy Trinity Church in Cuckfield in their stunning vintage Rolls Royce wedding cars.

As a Slaugham Place wedding photographer, I love the romance of the old stone ruins here, and Stuart and Elle made the most of them.

Getting Ready in the Bridal Cottage

The morning began in the bridal cottage, with the bridesmaids helping Elle into her dress.

A Ceremony at Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield

Meanwhile at the church, Stuart waited expectantly.

Then Elle arrived! I love the way she peeked around Father David to get a look at her husband to be.

The confetti outside the church was great fun!

A Vintage Rolls Royce and a Countryside Drive

Next came a picturesque countryside drive in their vintage Rolls Royce back to Slaugham Place, to celebrate with family and friends.

Portraits Among the Ruins

The historic ruins and gardens at Slaugham Place are a dream for portraits. Old stone arches, roses climbing the walls, little bridges and long meadow grass.

A Heartfelt Speech and the Bouquet Toss

Stuart gave a heartfelt, romantic and funny speech. It’s tricky to combine all three, but he pulled it off brilliantly!

Next came the bouquet toss, and Elle gave it plenty of oomph!

Cake, First Dance and the Dance Floor

Cutting the cake, the first dance and some dance floor shenanigans finished the evening off nicely.

From Holy Trinity Church to the ruins and a marquee party, Stuart and Elle’s day was beautiful from start to finish.
