Amy & Tristram’s Emotional Wedding at Pelham House

What a fun and emotional wedding, with lots of happy tears!

Amy and Tristram married at Pelham House in Lewes, surrounded by close friends and family. It was full of special moments, from bridal prep to a pretty spectacular first dance.

As a Pelham House wedding photographer, I love it when a couple fill their day with touches that reflect who they are, and Amy and Tristram did exactly that.

Getting Ready

The morning was full of pretty details and plenty of happy tears.

The bridesmaids looked beautiful in blush pink, and the groomsmen were in high spirits.

A Private First Look on the Lower Lawn

Amy and Tristram chose a first look, giving them some private time together shortly before the ceremony.

I highly recommend it to more couples. The rest of the day flies by in a blur, so those few quiet minutes together are precious.

The Ceremony

Then it was time for the ceremony, with family and friends turning to watch Amy walk down the aisle.

Confetti and Group Photos

Outside, the confetti came flying, and the whole wedding party gathered in front of the house.

A Science-Themed Wedding Breakfast

Amy is a physics teacher, so she used the periodic table as the layout for the seating plan.

The table decorations continued the theme, with flasks, test tubes and the like.

A Dinosaur Cake Topper

The wedding cake had real significance.

When Tristram was five, a visit to the Natural History Museum in London started his fascination with dinosaurs, hence the brilliant dinosaur cake topper.

The vase on the cake had also been on the wedding cakes of Tristram’s mum and grandparents. Such a special touch.

Bouquet Toss and Keyboard Karaoke

Fast forward to the evening, and the bouquet toss was tons of fun. It’s one of my favourite parts of any wedding day!

Keyboard Karaoke was a fantastic addition to the evening entertainment, and the dance floor was full all night.

An Emotional, Personal Wedding at Pelham House

Amy and Tristram’s wedding was fun, emotional and completely them, from the periodic table seating plan to the dinosaur on the cake.
