Imagine a cosy winter wedding in the historic heart of Lewes, full of emotion, laughter and one very unexpected surprise.

That was Josh and Emily’s day at Pelham House. From the first look with Emily’s dad to the dancing at the end of the night, it was a special wedding.

A First Look with Dad

The morning started with the little details, then an emotional first look with Emily’s dad.

A Ceremony Steeped in Emotion

The ceremony was filled with love and laughter.

As Emily walked down the aisle with her dad, the room fell silent. Josh, overcome with emotion, watched his bride with a tear in his eye.

Their vows were brimming with humour, love and promises for a lifetime together, and they resonated with everyone there.

Portraits at Pelham House

Even on a winter’s day, Pelham House gives you so many lovely spots for portraits, from elegant doorways to the grand staircase.

Singing Waiters at the Wedding Breakfast

Halfway through the wedding breakfast, the atmosphere took an unexpected turn.

Emily and Josh had no idea it was coming. Suddenly a waiter dropped a serving tray that smashed to the ground in front of the top table!

After a few shocked looks, the waiters burst into song, serenading the couple and their guests with a selection of Emily’s favourite songs.

They were incredible, honestly the best singing waiters I’ve seen at a wedding.

Cutting the Cake and the First Dance

Josh and Emily really got stuck into cutting the cake, followed by their first dance.

Straight after, the dance floor filled with friends and family, and the atmosphere lasted well into the night.

Wedding Sparklers

Despite the on and off rain, we finished with sparklers in the evening.

We even managed to get everyone’s sparklers lit at the same time, which is no mean feat, as there’s always one guest who’s super keen to start the ball rolling!
