Amy & Stuert’s Summer Wedding at Southend Barns

Amy and Stuert’s wedding at Southend Barns, just south of Chichester, was brilliant!

It’s one of my favourite West Sussex barn weddings. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces make for fantastic photos.

The day was full of love and laughter, with a vintage Rolls Royce and a beautiful horse-drawn carriage. Amy loves horses, so the carriage was a must!

As a Southend Barns wedding photographer, here’s how their summer day unfolded.

Bridal Prep in the Milking Parlour

The day started with bridal prep in the Milking Parlour bridal suite, a light-filled space full of charm, with its own private courtyard, water feature and rose garden.

It’s the perfect spot for those quiet portraits before the ceremony.

The Groom and Groomsmen

Meanwhile, Stuert and the groomsmen were getting ready, and the vintage Rolls Royce was waiting outside.

A Ceremony in the Dairy Barn

Amy and Stuert chose to marry inside the Dairy Barn. There’s also the option of an outdoor ceremony in the Secret Garden, but Stuert’s connection to farming made the barn their favourite.

Then it was outside for the confetti!

A Horse-Drawn Carriage

Amy’s love of horses meant the horse-drawn carriage was a highlight of the day.

Portraits in the Gardens and Fields

The courtyard and rose garden are perfect for couple photos, with a reflecting pool, topiary and an arbour in the fields beyond.

And with the open Sussex fields all around, there’s always somewhere new to explore.

Wedding Breakfast and Speeches

The Dairy Barn looked beautiful for the wedding breakfast, glowing with fairy lights.

The speeches had everyone laughing, with a few happy tears too.

Into the Evening

As the evening arrived, there were family photos, games on the lawn, a bouquet toss and a first dance.

A Summer Barn Wedding at Southend Barns

Amy and Stuert’s day had everything. Horses, a vintage car, a barn ceremony and a whole lot of love and laughter.
